Alright, folks! The moment the students of Bihar have been eagerly waiting for is here. On March 29, 2025, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) rolled out the Class 10 Matric results. This announcement was made during a press conference attended by some notable names like Education Minister Sunil Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary S. Siddharth, and BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore.
This year, we saw a whopping 15.85 lakh students putting their best foot forward for the exams, out of which 8.18 lakh were girls, making their presence prominently felt. The rest, 7.67 lakh, were boys, all taking their exams from February 17 to February 25 of this year across 1,677 centers! The practical parts of the exam happened a bit earlier in January. Yep, they were diving into their practicals between January 10 and 20.
For those biting their nails off waiting for their scores, results can be checked online. Students can hop onto official websites like matricresult2025.com, matricbiharboard.com, or biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in and peek at their results using their roll number and roll code. And, if you fancy the good old SMS method, just send ‘BIHAR10 ROLL-NUMBER’ to 56263 and voila! Offline checking made easy.
What about those who aren’t quite thrilled with their scores? Not to worry! Compartment exams are lined up for students looking to brush up and improve. Plus, the Board has got the backs of students who feel their papers deserve a second look. Applications for scrutiny will soon be open for those who want to go down that road.
And here's a sweet treat for the high-fliers. The Board has some handsome rewards for the shining stars. For our 1st ranker, there’s a cool ₹1 lakh and a snazzy laptop waiting. The 2nd rank grabs ₹75,000 along with a laptop, and the 3rd rank contender also gets a laptop paired with ₹50,000.
Looking back, the year 2024 saw a pass percentage of 82.91%, showing a nice trend upward, and fingers crossed for a similar positivity trend this year. Now onto the numbers game - to make the cut, students have to score 33% in each subject, 30% across the board, and – a biggie – a solid 40% in the practicals.
So there you have it! With options to reclaim a better score and a pat on the back for the toppers, it’s all set for another successful year for the BSEB students!
