Indian Army’s Recruitment Drive for 10th Grade Graduates

In an exciting opportunity for those holding a 10th-grade certificate, the Indian Army HQ 22 Movement Control Group announced a substantial recruitment drive aimed at filling 135 Group C positions. The positions available include roles such as Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Mess Waiters, Barbers, Washermen, Masalchis, and Cooks. This recruitment drive closed applications on 3 March 2023, inviting qualified candidates to join the ranks and contribute to the nation’s defense services.

The eligibility criteria were straightforward but necessary to ensure the right fit for these roles. Candidates needed to be aged between 18 to 25 years for General and EWS categories, 18 to 28 years for OBC candidates, and 18 to 29 years for those belonging to SC/ST categories. A crucial requirement was a pass certificate for the 10th-grade examination, setting the educational baseline for applicants.

Comprehensive Selection and Salary Details

Applicants went through a meticulous selection process. It kicked off with a Physical Test designed to assess candidates' fitness levels, crucial for the physically demanding roles. Following this, applicants faced a Trade Test, allowing them to demonstrate their skills related to their specific job roles. A Written Test further assessed their academic knowledge and understanding, ensuring they met the intellectual standards expected.

Once candidates cleared these assessments, their documents underwent thorough verification to confirm the authenticity of their claims. A Medical Examination ensured that selected candidates were in suitable health to perform their duties effectively.

Successful candidates in this recruitment received salaries that varied based on their posts, with monthly pays ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹63,200. This competitive compensation reflects the importance of each role in supporting the broader mission of the Indian Army.

The recruitment was structured to be inclusive, with reserved seats set aside for various categories such as UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and ESM. Those interested had to submit their applications offline, accompanied by self-attested documents, to the designated Group Commander's address.

The distribution of vacancies covered diverse roles, with MTS accounting for 28 posts, Mess Waiters for 22, Barbers for 9, Washermen for 11, Masalchis for 11, and Cooks dominating with 51 positions. Such diversity in roles ensures that a wide range of skills is brought into the fold, each crucial in the seamless operation of army facilities.

This recruitment drive not only presents an employment opportunity but also a chance to serve the nation in a supportive role within the revered Indian Army. It opens a path for candidates to develop professionally while being part of something much larger than themselves.
